Total Order Plus 2012 is now being used at Mindware and nine other customers for beta testing. We have started a new features list of what has been incorporated into this new version of our software.  Some of the highlights are the importing of UPS WorldShip tracking information into Total Order Plus invoice history during the daily closing in WorldShip, ability to edit the customer and NOF Bill To information and credit card information is now stored in its own maintenance file, allowing you to protect the data with a password. Coupon Collecting Is Suddenly 'Cool'!

It's taken a recession and a lot of people out of work to call coupon collecting 'cool'. Shoppers are saving a lot of money on their grocery bills as extreme shopping increases in popularity. You just have to spend a couple of hours cutting ads and collecting coupons off the Internet. As an example, if you spend $35 and you save $80 and it took you two hours, you just made $40 an hour.

Check out the Facebook page of your favorite grocery store as new deals pop up all of the time. Same goes for Twitter. And how about mobile coupons?  They can be scanned right from your cell phone. Companies will send out exclusive offers with a bar code that can be scanned at their registers.

Another potential discount option is QR codes. These are the funny looking squares you see in magazines ads and are popping up everywhere. Marketers are using these codes to attract business by offering discounts to their customers. You will need to download the app on your smart phone and take a picture of the QR code. You will then be directed to a product's web site and possibly find a major discount deal!

You should start to see more QR codes in magazines, newspapers, billboards and posters. Unless you take a picture of the code, you will never know if there is a good deal waiting for you!

Ray Stamp Ready for 75th Anniversary

Denis Pelletier, Ray Stamp Company, said "The last two digits of our street address were projected onto our advertising board located within our doorway early in the morning when the sunlight stroke through our business front door. The picture made me think of our 75th anniversary. Ray Stamp is 53 years old this year. Thinking of the distant future gives me too much grey hair."

Things You May Not Know About TOP

Many of our customers may not be aware that Total Order Plus has a 'User Appendix' manual, 'Online Help' manual and a 'TOP Intro" manual online on our support website www.mindwarecorp.com and can be accessed by clicking on 'Documentation' on the left side of the screen. These manuals contain numerous screens and instructions to help you with Windows issues, UnForm, UPS, Anzio Lite, Unix commands, End of Day and End of Month processing, how to use the TOP Report Writer, TOP menu commands, 'How To' information, listing of reports that can be printed to PDF files, etc.

In our monthly newsletter, we are publishing some of the  'TOP2012.A Features'.  This month we will feature the ability to display the order audit file for an order or invoice in the Find Order/Invoice Utility. Once the order or invoice is found, the detail is displayed with multiple options, one of which is to display the Order Audit tracking information. The information includes when the order was entered, if the order was edited, how many copies of the order was printed and to what printer, converting the order into an invoice, if the invoice was edited after conversion and when the invoice was updated, including register number.  Click here to view . . . .
