Total Order Plus 2012.A is now being used at Mindware and two other customers for beta testing. We have started a new features list of what has been incorporated into this new version of our software.  One of the highlights is the importing of UPS WorldShip tracking information into Total Order Plus invoice history during the daily closing in WorldShip. Another feature is the credit card information is now stored in its own maintenance file, allowing you to protect the data with a password. Sonicwall has just issued an 'End of Support' Announcement on all TZ-150 and TZ-170 Sonicwall units. As of June 30, 2011, there will not be any sku's available for 2 year and 3 year security service contracts for Gateway Security Suite and Client Anti Virus.

As of June 30, 2013, there will not be any 1 year security service contracts available on the TZ-150 and the TZ-170 Sonicwall units for Gateway Security Suite and Client Anti Virus.

Are smartphones a bigger radiation concern than regular cell phones?

A recent report from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), which is part of the World Health Organization lists mobile phone use in the same category as lead, gasoline engine exhaust, and chloroform. Officially, cell phone radiation is listed as a "carcinogenic hazard" according to their findings.

To put this into perspective, the same scoring system has put some pickled vegetables and coffee in the same category, so this report is by no means a link suggesting cell phones cause cancer but it has stirred the controversy up again. No one has come even remotely close to linking the development of cancer cells with cell phones, but taking steps to reduce your exposure can't hurt.

The radiation risk is from the cellular transmitter itself, so the risk from smart phones is not any greater just because they can do more. In fact, it could be argued that smart phones could reduce your risk because you spend less time with the phone to your ear talking because of the text messaging, video call and Internet capabilities.

Reducing the amount of time your phone is turned on and near your body (less than an inch) are the general recommendations that most authorities are suggesting.  Click here for specific tips on cell phone use . . . .

Things You May Not Know About TOP

Many of our customers may not be aware that Total Order Plus has a 'User Appendix' manual, 'Online Help' manual and a 'TOP Intro" manual online on our support website www.mindwarecorp.com and can be accessed by clicking on 'Documentation' on the left side of the screen. These manuals contain numerous screens and instructions to help you with Windows issues, UnForm, UPS, Anzio Lite, Unix commands, End of Day and End of Month processing, how to use the TOP Report Writer, TOP menu commands, 'How To' information, listing of reports that can be printed to PDF files, etc.
