Here is a list of some of the main products and services that can be of help
to you and your business:
 |
Total Order Plus interfaces with shipping software from
UPS, FedEx and On Trac. The interface sends data from TOP reducing
errors and saving time. The interface allows packages to be tracked
using multiple reference codes, including TOP order number, invoice
number and purchase order number. Automation can be increased by using a
scanner to read the TOP bar code.
|
 |
UnForm software allows users to print quotes, orders,
invoices, purchase orders and statements to plain paper that resembles a
custom form and saves hundreds of dollars on having to purchase
preprinted forms. Instead of using continuous form labels, UnForm prints
three columns and ten rows of labels on one piece of laser label paper
as well as allowing the use of Zebra label printers. |
 |
If you have UnForm installed, you can use MailCall to
email orders, invoices, quotes and purchase orders to customers and
vendors to save paper and trees! During the Accounts Receivable
month-end processing, you have the option to email statements to
customers that have an email address set up in Customer Contact
Maintenance. You will see a savings of time and money on postage,
faxing, printing and time spent stuffing envelopes. |
 |
Numerous accounting registers can be printed to a
PDF file for future reference saving filing time, paper usage, toner
cartridges and storage space. |
 |
Use TOP for General Ledger, Accounts Payable and
Purchase Orders rather than having to reenter the data into another
accounting system. |
 |
Save time by importing line items from the open order
file into the Purchase Order module. You can create purchase orders for
multiple vendors from one order. |
 |
Import orders from Connect Web and Trodat websites
directly into TOP to create an open order. |
 |
Export vendor and customer contact information into
Outlook and Outlook Express. |
 |
Export the calendar and customer next contacts into
Outlook. |
 |
Import charge transactions from an American Express file
that contains postings from a given time period. TOP will create the
vendor invoice and distribute the transactions to the General Ledger.
|
 |
Save time and improve your disaster recovery by utilizing the off-site hosted backup using BackupEdge
to a server In Phoenix, Arizona. Separate backups are created for each
business day.
|
 |
Create a text file that can be imported into the
Stamps.com website. |
 |
Export TOP purchase orders for Millennium Marking and
receive their electronic discount without re-entering the data on their
website. |

Monthly
Tips for 'Green Computing'
Research has said that the technology industry accounts for
2% of global carbon dioxide emissions, which matches the same percentage of
emissions from the aviation industry! With so many people using a personal
computer, there is no doubt it has a major impact. We all need to start
thinking about green computing if you want to help fight global warming or
just plain want to save money on energy. Each month we will provide a tip
that will allow you to help.
TIP:
A common misconception is that screen savers save power but
the inverse is actually the case for most situations. The screen saver was
originally developed back when monochromatic displays (usually one color
like green, amber or white) were common and screen "burn-in" was common for
terminals that used the same program every day. By periodically changing
what was on the screen, you can prevent screen burn-in (the same holds true
for today's flat panel television displays).
Many of us like to have the screen saver display our vacation
photos, fancy graphics, sports logos, but that actually consumes quite a bit
of electricity to display because it requires the hard drive, video card and
monitor to continuously consume electricity.
If
you want to save your screen and save power,
set your screen saver option to "None" or "Blank" instead of anything that
displays images.
The major computer outlet stores are now starting
to carry LCD cleaners for Flat Panel Monitors and Notebooks that do
not contain the chemicals found in some commercial glass cleaners.
These cleaners will definitely do the job nicely, but you do have to
purchase them. If you do not wish to purchase these factory made
cleaners, then you can clean your LCD Screen using the suggestions
listed below.
What You Can Use
 |
Water
|
 |
Water with a tiny amount of soft
liquid soap
|
 |
Isopropyl Alcohol
|
 |
Hexane
|
 |
Petroleum Benzine
|
 |
Commercial glass cleaners that
do not contain ammonia |
What You Should Avoid
 | Acetone
|
 | Ammonia
|
 | Ethyl acid
|
 | Ethyl Alcohol
|
 | Methyl chloride
|
 | Toluene
|
 | Commercial glass cleaners containing ammonia |
How You Should Do It
You should clean your LCD Screen by applying the
cleaner to a soft, clean cloth. Then you should wipe the cloth
across the display from left to right, moving from the top of the
display down to the bottom of the display. If your display contains
grease or some other contaminant, then you should dampen your cloth
with water instead of a commercial cleaner as the cleaner may smear
the contaminants across the screen.
General Maintenance
You should avoid subjecting your LCD Screen to
extreme temperatures and humidity and avoid exposures to direct
sunlight. You should also avoid physical shocks to your display. If
you have a notebook, then you should avoid stacking books or other
objects upon the notebook with the screen closed, etc.
