The SCO Group Announces Reorganization Plan
The SCO Group today announced that Stephen Norris Capital Partners and its
partners in the Middle East have agreed to provide up to $100 million to
finance a plan for reorganization for 'The SCO Group'. SNCP will take a
controlling interest in the company, while taking it private. As a result,
SCO is poised to emerge from Chapter 11 in the coming year!
"Not only will this position us to emerge from Chapter 11, but it also marks
an exciting future for our business," said Jeff Hunsaker, President and COO
of SCO Operations. This significant financial backing is positive news for
SCO's customers, partners and resellers who continue to request upgrades and
rely on SCO's UNIX services.
"We saw a tremendous investment opportunity in SCO and it vast range of
products and services, including many new innovations ready or soon to be
ready to be released into the marketplace", said Stephen Norris. "We expect
to quickly develop these opportunities and to stand behind SCO's existing
base of customers and partners."

hings You May Not Know About Anzio Lite 15
Anzio Lite 15 is a terminal emulator that is replacing
Termlite for connecting to Total Order Plus. Termlite has not been supported
for several years. We have found Anzio Lite to be superior to Termlite
because of all of its features, as well as cost effective at $55.00 per
user.
One of the features of Anzio Lite is the ability to set
different mouse options for use within Total Order Plus. You can view the
options available by opening Anzio Lite and Right click anywhere on the
screen to display a popup menu and select Set Mouse Options. In the dialog
that is presented, you can configure what will happen on different mouse
actions.
For example, if you want to automatically access the
Internet when you left double-click on a URL, you can program the Left
double-click mouse option to Start URL. When you double click on an address,
it will display that web page. To copy text within Anzio, you would Right
double-click on the mouse. You can also program the mouse wheel to scroll up
and down a page. You can see below the available options.

There are options available in the popup window besides
mouse functions. You can select to copy, copy and paste or print the active
screen on your monitor to a printer.
If you want to copy and paste just a particular area, you
can change the block type setting:

Crafts and Hobby Association Winter Convention

The
Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) held its winter convention and trade
show at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA, February 10-13,
2008. It was the largest exhibition of its kind in the
world. From an international product selection to unrivaled educational
and networking events, the 2008 show brought the craft world together
to showcase breaking industry trends, the latest product introductions
and countless new ideas.
It was not just
another trade show... it was the craft and hobby world's fair. There
were over 3000 booths, over 20,000 visitors and 46 nations represented at the
show. The events included scrap booking, paper crafts, general crafts,
art material and framing, fabric, quilting, needle crafts, imaging and
license and design. There were international pavilions from Japan,
Brazil, UK, Australia, Canada, Italy, France, Taiwan and India.

Things You May Not Know About TOP
Many of our customers will periodically change their ISP
providers for one reason or another. This ordinarily wouldn't have any
affect on Total Order Plus unless you are using MailCall to email your
orders, quotes, invoices, purchase orders and statements.
There are two areas that are affected when the provider
changes the mail server and IP addresses. The MailCall configuration file
contains the smtp mail server (POP3 server) domain name or IP address and a
port assignment, if the port is different than 25, which is used by MailCall.
Here are examples of the mailcall.ini file requirements:
port=3535 (if different than 25)
server=mail.mindwarecorp.com OR
server=smtp.mindwarecorp.com OR
11.22.33.445 for IP Address
Mindware will need the new IP address so we can connect for
support. If there are multiple remote companies connected via VPN, that will
also be affected.
Another are that can be affected is the PS Options Menu. This requires a valid company email
address and password, also provided by the ISP provider. Below is a sample:

Mindware to make sure that MailCall is set up correctly in both areas and
that we have the necessary information for continued support.

New Rules for the IMIA Mailing List
Mindware Corporation has created a way to
communicate with other users in order to share information about how they
are using TOP for different reasons or what features they use to better
server their business needs. This information can be shared throughout the
industry and benefit others who may not be aware of many TOP features and
upgrades.
However, there must be certain rules that must be followed.
We have had customers complain about all of the email responses they receive
from the mdlist when it doesn't concern every member.

If a customer responds to an email from the Mdlist,
instead of using the Reply to All just use Reply so the reply goes only
to the member who initiated the last email. Only time Reply to All
should be used is if the email response is of benefit to all members. |

Abusing the use of mdlist may require this feature to be
discontinued. |

We use the automatic posting of credit card transactions in Total Order Plus
to the Cash Receipts data file. When the transactions post to the General
Ledger, we have no way of balancing each type of credit card dollar amounts. Is
there a possibility that this will be added to TOP?
Total Order Plus has a new feature in the next release of Total
Order Plus that posts each credit card deposit as a separate cash total on the
G/L End of Day report. The totals would tie in with the credit card summary that
is printed on the O/E Daily Sales Journal when closing the day.
