The Mindware Corporation Western Users Conference was held in Phoenix, AZ., on June 9-11 at the Biltmore Embassy Suites. Training on TOP2000 was held on Friday afternoon from 1-5 p.m. for all users interested in accounting practices and new features. Julie Paramo, Stewart Superior, stated " I learned more at this conference than any other one I have attended because of the additional day of training on Friday". Other customers went on a tour of Phoenix Stamp Company and Arizona Stamp Company. A get acquainted social hour was held later in the evening.

Saturday morning presentations were on TOP2000 Online Help Menu, new features added to TOP and how to use and activate User Services, followed by lunch in the meeting room. The afternoon included table top presentations by John Wilson, a representative from SDSI on UnForm software and the rule files that are included for TOP2000, Job Cost and Payroll systems by Joanne Simmons, Networks, VsiFax and Tarantella by Archie Tucker and a display of products available through Mindware Corporation and custom forms was presented by Liz Tucker.

Table Top Presentations

Ludi Zuniga, Corpus Christi Stamp Works, regarding the table top presentations said "Having the table top sessions in the afternoon was a great idea because we were able to sit in on the different areas of interest that best applied to each individual". We used a new format at this conference for the Saturday afternoon session, one that would allow attendees to spend the most time on what was the most important to them.
David Gay, Indianhead Specialty, Inc., stated "I liked the format of the conference this year. It gave people the option to spend time on the items they were most interested in, but at the same time, you were able to pick up ideas in group discussions. It was nice to have the conference start on Friday and have different options offered". Sue McPherson and Karen Turberville, RWR Contractors, Inc., both said "The atmosphere and presentations were very comfortable. We enjoyed the opportunity to hear the opinions and questions of other delegates. We derived great benefit from the seminar by hearing cross-talk from those currently using Order Entry, which we will be using for our new company".

Round table discussions on Sunday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. gave everyone a chance to exchange ideas on TOP2000 and suggest new enhancements for the future.
