point01.jpg (59945 bytes) The 1998 Total Order Plus Western Conference was held September 11-13 at The Pointe South Mountain, Phoenix AZ. The weekend began with a ‘Get Acquainted’ reception at the La Cabana Bar beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday evening.

Saturday morning began with breakfast served in the Phantom Horse Grill. The group then boarded a shuttle to Phoenix Rubber Stamp Company for a tour and a day of demonstrations on SCO Enterprise 5.04, Windows 95 network capabilities, VSI-Fax from TOP (ability to fax purchase orders, orders/invoices, quotes, etc. direct to a customer/vendor within Total Order Plus), Auto Lockup (automatically formats a page, bypassing PageMaker) and Remote Order Entry. The 100 Watt Universal Laser was demonstrated by Mike Fruciano of Universal Laser Systems. Joanne Simmons gave training sessions on TOP Accounts Payable and Purchase Orders.

Rustler’s Rooste Barbecue

Saturday evening the group attended an outdoor western barbecue at Rustler’s Rooste on South Mountain where they could view the lights of the entire valley.

Sunday morning consisted of a continental breakfast and round table discussions.

The week-end was hosted by Archie & Liz Tucker, Joanne Simmons and Charlie Steele, Mindware Corporation Of America.

Mindware Corporation hosts two regional conferences at various locations throughout the United States for companies currently using TOP and for companies interested in becoming a member of the TOP User’s Group. The conference features sessions about TOP products and the latest technology for the Marking Device Industry. Round table discussions allow users to share valuable information within a non-competitive atmosphere. At the same time, it allows Mindware to gain valuable feedback from their customers in a continuing effort to improve their products.

The Eastern Conference will be held in the spring of 1999 in Washington, D.C. and the Western Conference will be held in the fall of 1999 in San Diego, CA.
